This is the only photo i hv until YJ uploads the others!

What Sentosa is all about:-

1) Sun tanning.
2) Soccer in the sand with a volleyball and 2 pairs of sandals as the goal posts.
3) Captain's ball (throwing balls around can be more tiring then running with balls under your feet)
4) Breaking the guinness world record. (Currently our frizz bee records is set at 30 hits)
5) Hotdogs, hams and bread with sand. Oh n Steph's ayam toothpicks. >.<
6) Blue Blacks (Rowdy men against gentle women)
7) Soaking your feet into the salty sea.

Basically, it's all about fun fellowship and enjoying the sun, sea and sand! Other than us, the artsians, we had two honourable guests who joined us -- Brian (Sharon's frd) and Eugena (Yanying's frd). We had bumped into them at habourfront. Apparently, they had an outing with the catholic society but it was cancelled last min. So as they were about to make their way back home, they met us! N so, with warm trinitarians' invitation, they joined us at Sentosa. Yeah! Thx god for the fellowship.

After a fun and tiring day at Sentosa, we made our way to Chinatown, a resturant by the name of "three spoons and 2 cups" or something similar to that. Haha. There, we had the tradition Samsui chicken (that winston strongly recommended) and some other yummy yummy dishes. Hurhur. Personally, i enjoyed dinner a lot bcos we had a lot of sharing. Feels like as if we were having cell! Heex. Hopefully, we will hv more of such relaxing outings! N hopefully, we will c more of our arts2 people. =)

Hello folks...A true account. Read on!

There was this man from church...The other day, he was with his daughter in one of those father and daughter outings. They went into a bookstore after photography at birdpark. He asked her to select a few motivational posters. She chose 2 posters and he picked one. She chosed DESTINY and RAINBOW, while the father chose ATTITUDE. At first she don't really understand why the ATTITUDE poster showed a mountain climber. He explained to her it is how a person responsed to situation, how a person persevered in difficult times and overcame the mountains in life. By then, the little girl understood. Then as they walked and talked. Suddenly, she said,

"Dad,
we must first know our DESTINY,
then we must have the right ATTITUDE
to embrace the rain and storm of life,
so as to see the RAINBOW of our DESTINY!

It really touched the father's heart for his daughter of 9 years old to come up with such amazing words. A child's first 7 years were the most critical year of formation that would carry him or her through the rest of life. A person's character and personality are almost all set in place in those first 7 years.

The father recalled how she had grown up. From nursery, she had been blessed by many of those loving caring arms that she was carried in as a baby in N1. She had learnt to play with others in N2. She started memorising verses in N3. Some of these Nursery workers prayed for her as they carried her. Some spoke words of affirmation into her life. Some of them corrected her as their own daughter. She grew up in a loving and learning environment of the church's nursery.

The man also recalled fondly the hard work of dedicated, commited, caring and passionate nursery workers. They served week after week, month after month, year after year. Such was their passion for the children of DESTINY. They had shaped his daughter's destiny too!

Dear Cellies, there is great need for more Nursery Core Workers in N1, N2 and N3.
Details of Core-teacher are as follows:

Frequency- Alternate weekends (fortnightly)
Service to serve- 11am Sunday (Our section West 2 is grounding this service)
You may wish to indicate your preference to serve in N1 (birth-12mths), N2 (1-2yrs) or N3 (2-4yrs).

Would you be one of them? One of those that would help shape a child's destiny. I believe passion and heart is more important than ability...so if u are thinking, "But i didn't grow up in nursery...I don't know the songs..."-- don't worry, they will train u :) Do consider (it is a commitment!), pray about it (seek God!) and then let me know.

details of the Sentosa outing is as follow:

Date: 21 Feb 2006
Time: 1030hr
Place to meet: Harbor Front MRT

We will having a picnic- style lunch on the beach.
So do chip in some food.
We will be having a day of funsuch as frisbee, volleyball, card games etc.
So do come and enjoy yourselves.
Want to go sunbath, also can...

We will be ending the Sentosa outing at 1630 hrs
afterwhich we will proceed to wash up and prepare fordinner.

Here are the details for dinner.

Date : 21 Feb 2006
Time: When all are ready to pack up and go...
Place: 3 bowls and 2 pieces ( in Chinatown)
I estimated that as more will be going, the cost per person will decrease until diseconomies of scale set in. So I say that each person will pay at most $9. (Wong, KY Winston. copyright 2006)

Hello one and all...

Guess what!!! It's one day to F4 day!!! :D

anyway here are some last min reminders to take note of...

Remember to bring along the following:

1) $$$ for dinner!!
2) snazzy colored marker - shocking pink?, funky orange, jazz blue, metallic silver...
3) a yellow or orange colored top!! :D
4) also bring along 10 small gifts for gift exchange

PS u guys and gals may want to wear shoes for the long walk to West Coast... :)

Now some other impt things to take note of... We have a wet weather contingency plan... Cos if anyone saw the weather forecast... there's goin to be showers of blessing everywhere... :P NO WORRIES!! just be at KR @ 6:15pm tml k?

Hello one and all...

Just want to say a big thank you for making my two friends feel welcomed for cell today(yesterday, however u see it... :P)...

Thank you NEO for the intriguing games though can be a bit duh... :P but haha it was fun nonetheless and also the card game... yes im still trying to take the stain off my hand... :P Many thanks again!!

Thank you Rouen for the wonderful time of grow which encouraged all of us even as we took a walk down memory lane which im sure even carrick, jaime and hansheng will remember for asking the fundamental questions to our own personal faith... WHY do we believe in God? What has He done which can testify it truly is him? Thank you!!! :D

Yenshan, thank you for speaking to jaime, in fact, she was full of praises for you and im glad that u managed to make that all impt click with her and make her feel welcomed and that her presence and qns were not in any way just brushed aside... Arigato!! :D

And of course to the rest of the cell for being such a wonderful testimony of how God has and is slowly but surely building the covenantal relationships that exist within our cell!! Keep it up!! :D And many thanks from me :D

What's up for cell this week?

We will discover what pleases God!
Many times, we go all out to please the friends around us...
but what about our heavenly Father?
Sometimes i feel He says,
"Rou'en! U busy here busy there...Is there room in your heart for me? U say u love me, but u mean it enough to live out a life that pleases me?
"Psst... Neo! U know what makes Me smile?"
"Zhen zhen! U aware of what I like?"
"Ooh Euniceeee...this decision that u're making...u sure it glorifies Me?"

Hello Dear Fresh and Fun cellies... :D

Hope all is well with you guys!!! Anyway I'm just here to keep you guys
informed of the updates of the non-hopping-lindy-hop-dancing JAZZMATAZZ!!! :D

Anyway the event details are as follows

WHERE??? :S
- Simple it's at Fort Canning Park

I MEAN WHERE EXACTLY? :@
- O, The nearest car park is Car Park B.(Take note Han!!)
Alternatively we can meet at the bus stop in front
of Park Mall. There will be Jazzmatazz signages at both
locations to guide us to Fort Canning Centre.. 

PS Nearest MRT is Dhoby Ghout MRT

AHA!!! SO I KNOW WHERE NOW... TIME?
- Alright in a bid to foster earliness(refering to
me :P) Is it alright if we meet at the bus stop at 3.15PM?

- Then we'll proceed inside to register our group and enjoy a
short time of fun and fabulous prizes (games!) at 3.30pm

- The Actualy Event will start at 4pm... And we'll enjoy
the bonding and friendship that will take place!! :D

WAIT WAIT... WHERE'S MY CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN???
- That comes at 4.30pm... Where we'll all have food and
drink and more games!!! :D

AHHH... THATS BETTER... THEN WHAT??

- Between 4.30 - 5.15pm, do mix ard with your friends and interact
with them Imptly, do invite them back to YAS, bcos this is not
exactly
an evangelistic event but more of a bridging event.

- Did i mention that the live band will be playing at that time?
Also you can dedicate songs, enjoy the music, enjoy the fellowship with food... :P

- From 5.15pm onwards... That's when it's time to loosen up your bodies!! Time for
the actual Lindy Hop workshop and dancing!! Bring the music on!! :D

- Then we'll END the event(sadly :'() at 7pm, after a long and fun day full of high
energy dancing and eating to replace that energy...

OK... NOW WHO ELSE IS GOIN BESIDES ME??
- Well, from our cell, we have 10 PPL!!! YEAY!!!
There's goin to be ME, ROUEN, SHARON, MEIZHEN, EUNICE, NEO, HAN,
SANDRA(Rouen's friend) and XUEFEN(Sharon's friend)...
Of course, we'll see YENSHAN scurrying ard the place taking
care of the event as a whole!! YEAY, THANK YOU YENSHAN :P

I SEE... SO WHY SHLD I GO?
- Obviously... For those who already paid, if you dont go,
you'll waste your own $$$(duh!!, or wait... is it yenshan's
$$$ ?... :S)

- But more imptly, this is a gd event to build friendship
esp within the CELL!! :D Also it's a gd platform where our
friends can see us out of church but with church friends and
they'll realise that we're a lively happening bunch of ppl
who truly lOVE GOD and LOVE PEOPLE!! Also use this opportunity
to invite them to join us for cell and svc in future! :D

Yup you're right!!

The annual dreaded (if you're single, or even if you're attached--cause that one highly-commercialised-day causes you a bomb) Valentine's Day (or, less popularly known as Friendship Day) is coming soon!!

As a cell, we have to be considerate to those who have special someones to celebrate it with, but nonetheless,
we are celebrating Friendship Day as a cell!! And instead of the usual gather-in-the-soci-rooms-and-get-chased-out-before-8.30pm cell session, we'd have:

F4 under the Stars!!
get ready for a day of Fun, Fresh Fellowship & Friendship-building,
and together, shift our Focus from a physical partner to GOD Himself, the ultimate source of LOVE!

Date/Day: 13th Feb 2006, Monday
Time: 6.30pm-9pm (we'd try)
Venue: West Coast Park Mac
Meeting Place: Kent Ridge Terminal at 6.15pm

Dress Code: Yellow or Orange! (fun & fresh yea?)

And lastly, i'm sure we'd all love to bless our fantabulously fun & fresh cell members with a 'lil something for Friendship Day. So our suggestion is that each of us will have a 'lil gift, attached with a 'lil note (or it can be a full-length Times New Roman font 12 double-spaced essay if you wish), to bless our cell members!! our idea of a "lil gift" is nothing more than S$10.00 for all the members. i.e. if we have 10 pple coming, divided $10 by 10, each person's gift should only be one buck. (chocolates would fit into that bill very nicely).
