Hey everyone, here's relaying an email from jaclyn (she used to be from our arts cell too, for those unaware). She really cracks me up:
hello everybody!
happy holidays!!! no more sitting down and mugging anymore!! =)
and so, since sab and i just keep talking about it but never got quite down to doing it - we're extending this invitation to ALL OF YOU so that we'll be motivated to move! and also, because your company matters!! (haha no i'm not being paid for this).
date: 23 may tuesday
time: meet at city hall mrt at 930 am (sab says can catch 196 to ecp)
activity: kayaking! or if you can't swim or are scared of fishes, you could always cycle/blade
i'm not sure how many of you have already taken up holiday jobs (sharon + ong i know are working) but if you're planning to just sleep in the entire day, then i say, come down!! you can always sleep in late the other 7000 days of your holidays eh?
and i don't have the email adds of all the newbies so it's up to you to let them know about it =)

A. eh, urm, no. then see how lah.
Q. i can't swim but i want to kayak leh! then how?
A. just do it! cos when you're an ahpek at 60 i bet you don't want to say in your crackly voice, "aye, i wish i had kayaked during them good ole days, aye, now zee creaking bones don't allow me to." (and anyhow, i think there are lifejackets available, and i don't think we're allowed to kayak to malaysia so it should be quite safe)
