hey ya'll. ben here. i just thought i'd share something personal here for all of ya on how God's moving in my life.
i'm declaring myself officially anti-piracy. those who know me will know i'm the computer savvy one who knows all abt downloading illegal stuff. =P anyway, before life conference thru friends who'd dare make a stand and during life conference, God had been speaking to me little by little about piracy... and changing my "what's wrong with it?" stance. aft bruce hills' sermon at YAS's, i've finally been convicted to no longer compromise and thus have cleared out my computer of downloaded movies, tv series, software, games and most of my secular music. that which i downloaded but did not buy that remains are most of the christian music that i want also to serve as a reminder to myself to get the CDs when the provision comes.
it's not been easy... i'm feeling a void now that i dun have my soccer game to play anymore. but God' showed me the time i'd lost to the game and how much He wanted me to grow in other areas but I'd given my time away whenever there was any. i cleared the stuff in stages, as i wrestled with God over... "hmm... this i really want... these not so impt... hmm... this one also... but but..." well... my heart knew that no compromise means not even one. yup. and one thing that was lingering in my heart that pushed this thru was the issue of trust. this act is my declaration of trust that God's my provider, that I believe He will provide all I need.
well. that's all. God bless ya'll.
